My name is Jane and I am a Remedial Massage therapist. I graduated with a Diploma of Health Science (Massage therapy) in 2000. Since then, I have worked in the allied health industry in various settings treating all walks of life from everyday people to professional sports athletes and aspiring young ballet dancers.
My interest in Anatomy and Physiology stems back to my previous career as a professional classical ballet dancer. Having suffered several injuries, I was quite often seeking alternative treatment to keep me on the stage. Massage and Pilates has long been a part of my routine to maintain my overall health and well-being.
In 2004, I gained my Pilates qualifications and established Pilates for Life at The Junction, one of the first Pilates studios in Newcastle.
I love being able to draw on my knowledge of Pilates, stretching and massage to give my clients a holistic approach to their treatment.
I have also completed a Bachelor of Education (Honours) at the University of Newcastle and am currently teaching Primary Education part-time.
Outside work I enjoy spending time with my family, especially my 2 children, whom inspire me everyday.
